THE CONCEPT
Andrew makes songs based on your ideas.
And sometimes he just makes songs.
But anyway, suggest something?

NEW CHAPTER
It’s been a gradual transition that wasn’t always even apparent to me, but I can definitively say now that my work will be focused more on my YouTube channel than this website. (Though a redesign is on its way that will integrate the two a bit more anyway.)
Of course, all the songs here will stay up for your enjoyment – some might even be made into videos in the near future. :) I will also continue to do commissions.
Thank you all for your support and encouragement over the years. Things are getting bigger and better and I hope you’ll stay on this magic carpet ride with me forever!

THE MIDNIGHT HUNT
This is a Paid Song! Learn more…
I’ve got another one for you. This one’s not mine, but a friend’s, and a bunch of us would like to pay you to turn it into a song for his birthday. The poem is called The Midnight Hunt:
When night’s dark has claimed the day,
When all the work is done,
It is time to fade away,
Or else it’s time to run.
(refrain)
Run from demons, howling strong,
Careful lest you fall,
Flee you from the Hunter’s song,
Flee the Seeker’s call.
You stayed out a spell too long,
You thought no harm would come,
Now you know that you were wrong;
You’ve heard the Hunter’s drum.
(Refrain)
Trees fly by, your feet are swift,
But theirs are swifter still,
You denied the Hunter’s gift;
His hounds will have their fill.
(Refrain)
You hear the hounds, you know they’re there,
Playing with their prey,
Their jaws clamp down; your muscles tear,
Now in the dirt you lay.
You ran from demons, dreadful beasts,
But in the night you fell,
Now you writhe while they all feast,
The Hunt returns to Hell.
In my head, here’s how it plays out: The victim blasts out of a village and into the forest, an imp following him on the rooftops, then through the trees. This imp sings the verses. The refrain is sung by him and a pack of distant, deep-voiced horrors in the distance.
I think there should be a 10-20 second instrumental interlude, maybe a fiddle and an electric guitar between the last regular refrain and the final verse and refrain.
I thought long and hard about bands and, strange as it sounds, something like Evanescence with a touch of Breaking Benjamin?

Havent heard the song yet but FIRST COMMENT!!
” pack of distant, deep-voiced horrors in the distance.”
Wow. Redundancy, much? Fail. That’s what I get for submitting requests late at night…
I am downloading this, I have a feeling it may go paid.
I really like it. Morbid of course, but Dark Rock always has a special place in my heart. I even give it capital letters. Well-done as always!
