THE CONCEPT
Andrew makes songs based on your ideas.
And sometimes he just makes songs.
But anyway, suggest something?

NEW CHAPTER
It’s been a gradual transition that wasn’t always even apparent to me, but I can definitively say now that my work will be focused more on my YouTube channel than this website. (Though a redesign is on its way that will integrate the two a bit more anyway.)
Of course, all the songs here will stay up for your enjoyment – some might even be made into videos in the near future. :) I will also continue to do commissions.
Thank you all for your support and encouragement over the years. Things are getting bigger and better and I hope you’ll stay on this magic carpet ride with me forever!

CRÊPES ET BAGUETTES
This is a Paid Song! Learn more…
I am working on a short film about a man who makes a sandwich and the lunch truck that pulls up by his work which temps him from his sandwich. The truck sells Crepes and Baguettes.
I really want you to have free reign here and go nuts. Your rap is most excellent and I can’t think of a more comedic combo of a hip hop song about baguette and crepes song emanating from a LA roach coach.
I was thinking Blackalicious Chemical Calisthenics if you’d just like to throw out all sorts of French things and words.

Is that yout voice Andrew?
I’m french and this song has an awesome IAM vibe (french rap group). Greeat work Andrew!
Love your new songs, but the “Right Click, Save As” is not working. Anyone who wants to get the songs, just left click on the button that you usually right click on, and then save the link that comes up. Ur welcome! ^_^
Although, it might just be this crappy piece of windows computer.

Bwahahaha, excellent.
ok…i think i heard la biblioteca lol. spanish for library fyi. since when does french and spanish mix…..? nice song tho.
@stavi: la biblioteque is the French. And this has got a funky groove going.
Someone’s gotta figure out the lyrics to this song and post them somewhere.
i heard lirary in there for sure (french is very close to spanish sometimes)
amazing, I need lyrics!
Just posted the lyrics!
http://www.songstowearpantsto.com/lyrics/
Fun, I just translated the lyrics – absolute nonsense, actually not what I expected! Sounds real, though, even to someone who’s studied french for quite a while!
Andrew, could you post a translation please?
so i just read the lyrics
and it was no where near as nonsensical as i thought it was
i’m not sure if this is good or bad :/
Thia ia the most awesome thing ever. I could listen to this on a loop all day and love it even more time after time
This song request sounds like somebody wanted you to make a cheap knock-off of the Flight Of The Conchords song “Foux Du Fa Fa” because they say baguette and other stuff that sounds like french nonsense words but if you know french it actually kinda makes sense (they also talk about the “biblioteque”…) I’m just glad that’s not what you made it sound like!!! (I love the Conchords, I was just hoping this didn’t sound to much like their song XD )
I’m pretty sure that I heard the crepe vendor mention le dejeuner petit ou grand. If I’m right, in this case, the vendor was talking about a large or small lunch. You should be careful, however, because le petit dejeuner is also French for breakfast.
First of all, this song is incredible – I’ve listened to it over and over and over, and it never gets old! Also, I’ve been studying French for a little while, and I’ve come up with a rough translation (keep in mind that it preserves the flavor of Andrew’s random, nonsensical brilliance.)
-appreciate your palette / place value on your tastes
-we destroy the crepes and baguettes
-crepes of France, I eat when I dance
-I’m twenty-five years old, (and on and on and on)
-I think that I’m called a baguette
-in the library (with) cutting up some cheese
-croissant, what’s that? There!
-wait [do you wait?] / what do you expect, I don’t understand
-I don’t know what, it’s there, (que sera sera) and here we go
-with lunch, big or little / with a big lunch or breakfast [play on words]
-poutine [French-Canadian dish of fries, cheese curd, and gravy], no, but baguette, yes
-outside, we’re support for hobos / vagabonds
-our tastes are on the forefront
-appreciate your palette / place value on your tastes
-we destroy the crepes and baguettes
Is it meant to be total french gooble? I especially like the lines, “crepes of france, I eat when I dance” (how did you get that to rhyme?), “We destroy the crepes and baguettes” and, the best one of all, “I think that i’m called a baguette”
Awesome song!
hahah i love this, vraiment bon!
Totally brilliant.
I certainly do love this song. I’ll be in Canada for Victoria day and I always think of you, Mr. Pants. Also, the idea of poutine to me, is absolutely revolting. :)
You just insulted a lot of french canadians by refusing poutine lol

Je suis sur le cheval!
Sunny Anderson used this song in one of her Youtube videos and I had to track it down. Thank you.
I just listened to your VS song “rhyme” Is that the same exact background music, or is it slightly changed from this?
