STWPT STWPT STWPT
Tons of STWPT stuff happening this week.
Most importantly, lots of thanks to everyone who came out to yesterday’s show! You were a great crowd, I had so much fun.
And… STWPT RINGTONES for some of the most popular songs are available. Any suggestions for other songs that should be made into ringtones? I have space for a few more.
And… At long last, I’ve put the track listings up for my CDs - so you know which songs you’re buying now…
And… PACKAGED SONG DOWNLOADS are here! Each one gives you little over half an hour of STWPT tunes for 7.99.
Finally, check out CBC Radio One this Saturday (May 17) at 1pm ’cause Definitely Not The Opera is doing a little segment on Songs To Wear Pants To. You can listen online too. Awesome!

RETURN OF THE LYRICS
The LYRICS TO WEAR PANTS TO page is back! It’s exactly the way it used to be, except it’s inside our new layout and all the way updated. The link can be found (other than in this post) with all the other links when you scroll right down to the bottom of the site.
Enjoy two new songs: I AM AN EDUCATED FISH - which doesn’t really have lyrics, since they were all made up on the spot - and G. Along with O, this is making me think I should do a complete set of songs for the alphabet. I’ll have to check through the big pile of unread requests and see if there’s anything letter-related in there.

THIS GIRL
If you could help me out with something that would be great. I really like this girl, but I don’t know how to express it. If you could write a song about her with her beautiful light blue eyes, long brown hair, and great athletic body, that would be awesome.

THE TOUCHTONE GENIUS
This is a Paid Song! Learn more…
Let’s imagine that somewhere in a hotel room there’s a really talented and really bored composer who has mastered the art of accompanying himself with dial tones while calling random people in their homes. He especilly enjoys leaving 2 minutes operas on other people answering machine / service.
“The Touchtone Genius”
He begins by introducing himself and then explains that it is important that he plays something for you, for whatever reason he explains. He also apologise for the cluttering of your message box /waking of you at 3 A.M. but emphasizes on the importance on the matter.
Then he plays a cheerfull melodic introduction using touchtone.
He sings the first few measures.
It features an energetic baritone who is seemingly happy because he won the lottery, or a better idea he just had.
He sings the part and play the touchtone live!
He stops and says “and then the guy goes”:
He plays a dramatic tune.Forte. He often sings the introduction melody.
The second act is a dialogue between the guy from the first act and a dissing soprano. Sometimes it may be a completely different subject but it always involves a soprano. He sings both parts perfectly.
He stops “So it goes on for a while then:”
The genius’ dial tone mastery shows off as he introduces the third and last act which is mostly instrumental, except for the very last part of it which is either an insult about your mother or some random shocking insanity.
He quickly concludes with a short tone fanfare and hangs up.
A short introductory dialogue and and reactions from the listener would nicely add to it.

CELTIC TECHNO BURRITO
I think you should write a song about a man ordering a burrito and being extremely intimidated by the size of it. The music should be Celtic techno, or any other blend of two genres that would not be caught eating a burrito together.

WE PHOTOCOPY OUR BODY PARTS
dear songmaker: please make an a capella chant-type song about people who photocopy their body parts (you may wish to focus on the photocopying of the buttocks), with at least 14 layers of your voice.
