Andrew makes songs based on your ideas.
And sometimes he just makes songs.
But anyway, suggest something?

NEW CHAPTER
It’s been a gradual transition that wasn’t always even apparent to me, but I can definitively say now that my work will be focused more on my YouTube channel than this website. (Though a redesign is on its way that will integrate the two a bit more anyway.)
Of course, all the songs here will stay up for your enjoyment – some might even be made into videos in the near future. :) I will also continue to do commissions.
Thank you all for your support and encouragement over the years. Things are getting bigger and better and I hope you’ll stay on this magic carpet ride with me forever!

EVIL PLAN THEME
This is a Paid Song! Learn more…
Hello, I’m Alexis Royce, and I would like to commission a theme song for Evil Plan, my webcomic.
The general feel would be upbeat and a rock or rock pop, with occasional dissonant or minor chords. Evil Plan has a lot of comedy, but the overall plot is pretty serious. It is, after all, about a supervillain, not a hero, and though I do want something with energy, I would like it to reflect the difference in protagonist.
Evil Plan is a webcomic about mad scientist Dr. Kinesis, and his attempts to become a legitimate supervillain, before taking over the world. Of course, this isn’t simple, and things keep getting in the way. The concept for the lyrics would be these things that aren’t part of the plan. So I’d like the song to be more or less from Kinesis’ perspective, complaining about he thought he had everything figured out, but wrenches keep getting thrown in the gears.
Things to mention:
-Minions failing at simple tasks,
-Not being taken seriously as a villain,
-Other villains getting in the way,
-An unexpected love interest (Alice, who he refers to as “Miss Evanson”),
-His own hesitation to put his trust in said love interest,
-inventions not working the way they’re supposed to,
-insane lesbian black market friends causing havoc,
-wisetalking computer disobeying all the time,
-people stealing your inventions,
-keeping your identity a secret,
-a young upstart superhero foiling your plans and using your own inventions to do it. The superhero’s name is “Amazingman.”
-This one’s on its own tier, as it’s incredibly important: losing a partner and best friend (brother imagery would work well here). It would fit best in a slower section, and could make a nice bridge if you need lyrics for it. Kinesis parted ways with William, and though people still don’t quite know the whole story, it ruined Kinesis. If the rest of the song is egotistical supervillain irritation, posturing and anger, then this is the one line that’s something akin to sweetness.
I’ve done my best to describe what I’d like, but in the end, I don’t have any of the skills that you do, and I could be saying things all wrong. So I have some examples for you here:
Upside Down By Barenaked Ladies
You Know My Name By Chris Cornell
I Know You Know By Friendly Indians

INTERNET HEROES
This is a Paid Song! Learn more…
You made the Stephen Is The Awesome song me for about 1.5 years ago. Are you available for a new song commission? This next song will be “Internet Heroes”, people with influence and smarts that caused today’s internet:
Douglas Crockford: Making JavaScript Amazing by scrubbing the tarnish clear, king of JavaScript. Douglas does nothing very well at Yahoo! Sunnyvale, CA. One of two people who wrote good books about JavaScript.
Ryan Dahl: creating Node.js
Audrey Tang: Autodidacticism pusher, you spread this idea, it was you. Hug and embrace your internet trolls.
Ingy Dot Net: inspires creativity, amazing, Ingy once stepped out on stage completely naked at a tech conference. CPAN lord and master.
Jonathan Swartz: What did this guy do? Uh, don’t know. Why is Jonathan in this song?
Larry Wall: Making all the Perls. Larry is strapping in Hawaiian Shirts. Larry, why is Perl an Onion?
John Resig : John has the Secret techniques of top JavaScript programmers. John wrote books about his secrets for ninja programmer assassins.
Steve Souders: Making the web faster.
Jeremy Zawodny: Jeremy has a lot of cats. Jeremy likes Sphinx and MySQL, or maybe he hates Sphinx and MySQL because he merged them at Craig’s List.
James Gosling: YOU made the JAVA HELL.
Igor Sysoev: PubNub uses Nginx (pronouced “Engine X”). Igor helped those Ruby on Rails folks, creating the greatest free proxy software load balancer.
Rasmus Lerdorf: What took so long to add Closures to PHP? And why no lexical scoping in PHP? IT IS NOT SCOPE LEAKAGE.
Linus Torvalds: Builder of the right way! The force worthy of cosmic points for creating Linux.
Bjarne Stroustrup: C Plus Plus, Lame. You created this high level compiler out of BS.
Guido van Rossum: Thanks for the Python!
David Heinemeier Hansson: Made Ruby Sexy with Rails.
Yukihiro Matsumoto: Ruby is Awesome. Ruby is Sexy.
Brendan Eich: JavaScript Origin Master. First it was called Mocha, then LiveScript.
Eight core contributors formed the foundation of the original Apache Group: Brian Behlendorf, Roy T. Fielding, Rob Hartill, David Robinson, Cliff Skolnick, Randy Terbush, Robert S. Thau, Andrew Wilson
Jarkko Hietaniemi: Master Librarian, Comprehensive Perl Archive Network. The CPAN Disclaimer is REALLY OUTDATED. Ruby Gems outshining CPAN, end of an era?
Joe Armstrong: Erlang woot!
Make this song Andrew Style. We want you to make this song in the way you know is good, not what we think, because we don’t know how to make songs.
The song will accompany an article on our website.
