NEW CHAPTER
It’s been a gradual transition that wasn’t always even apparent to me, but I can definitively say now that my work will be focused more on my YouTube channel than this website. (Though a redesign is on its way that will integrate the two a bit more anyway.)
Of course, all the songs here will stay up for your enjoyment – some might even be made into videos in the near future. :) I will also continue to do commissions.
Thank you all for your support and encouragement over the years. Things are getting bigger and better and I hope you’ll stay on this magic carpet ride with me forever!

GETCHA KICKS
This is a Paid Song! Learn more…
My girlfriend loves roller derby like it’s her religion, so I wanted to make her a song that glorifies her derby persona, Getcha Kicks”, and how awesome I think she is. Doesn’t have to be long or elaborate, maybe just featuring some rockabilly-style guitar. If you’re familiar with the Stray Cats, that’s sort of what I had in mind.
Getcha Kicks is a jammer, whose job is to pass through the pack without getting knocked down or off of the track and score points. They wear a star on their helmet and have to be fast as well as strong enough to take the hits from the other team’s Blockers. Some key jammer-related terms are “Booty Blocking” (using your butt defensively to stop the other jammer from getting through the pack) and “Lead Jammer” (getting through the pack first). Getcha Kicks’ teammates love her, and she’s got friends and admirers all over the world.
The derby team she plays for are known as the Derby Debutants, and their colours are pink and black. The team practices twice weekly, and they try and run drills on several universal derby plays, such as “eating the baby” (where the team absorbs the opposing team’s jammer and stops her from scoring points – I know, creepy name). The big tournament they aspire to win every year is known as “The Beast of the East”. Her teammates call Getcha “the juggernaut” because she tends to jam most often…
Lastly, her number is 76, which rhymes with her name. Announcers love it.

IF THE METRO DON’T GO THERE IT DON’T EXIST
This is a Paid Song! Learn more…
Below are my lyrics. My music choice is rockabilly, Billy Haley and the Comets “Rock around the clock” type dance music. Basically music you can dance to, with a 1950′s flavor.
If the Metro don’t go there it don’t exist
My friends know it’s my creed
I’m just a follow going along and
Metro is my lead
Living in Washington, DC with no car and
that’s fine by me
No parking cares, no insurance, no gas,
just my cup of tea.
Get the Green line to work, the Red line to the
National Zoo
Yellow to the airport , Blue to King Street
and Orange to GMU
The Metro takes me to Rockville, Arlington, heck
even London, UK
[spoken part] You take the green line to Greenbelt, get on the B30 express to BWI, catch a British Airways flight to Gatwick, from Gatwick walk to the exit for the Tube, at the tube station take the train to Cockfosters, viola London. OK?[/end spoken]
Don’t care for the ‘burbs with the Wal-Marts and
bland chain stores
I’ll take the metro to funky shops in Dupont
Stand clear of the doors
I want to go when I want to go, leave when
I want to leave
Having to beg for a ride, hunt for a ride, that’s
my pet peeve
I’m not going to bother with the places
I just can’t go
Cause if it’s good, if it’s great, I can get there
by the Metro
Bong-Bong, doors closing.
