THE ORIGINAL SONGS TO WEAR PANTS TO
A few years before starting this website, I put out a CD by the same name. Beyond the name, the website and the album don’t really have anything to do with each other, except that it’s all my music.
Anyway, I thought they were sold out, but I recently discovered 22 copies still shrink-wrapped and hiding in a box.

It’s got these songs on it, plus 11 more that I haven’t posted anywhere online:
MOSES
MARY POPPINS
SCATTERBABY
LIMBIC
WHITE
Want a copy? I’m asking $9, which includes shipping to anywhere in the world.
Blast from the past!

MUFFIN PUFFIN
This is a Paid Song! Learn more…
late-period Beatle-y rock (eg Hey Bulldog, Octopus’s Garden, Birthday, etc)
I have a cousin who has a list of words she finds hilarious. I’m looking for a song that simply lists them. There should be a chorus that begins the song with the words “muffin puffin” repeated a few times. I’d like the first verse to list the words fork, tree, knob, tub, frilly, chimney, and pudding. Then a second verse with the words custard, coupon, emu, llama, shmeejay, and flapdoodled.
I was thinking it’d stay Beatle-y musically, but the style of singing getting more and more intense… sort of exaggerating the ridiculousness of some of the words; as if they had great meaning and were causing the singer must angst. If you have to repeat the list several times, that’s fine. Feel free to re-order the words to your liking as well.

LISA WANTS TO BE A BAD ROBOT
This is a Paid Song! Learn more…
Funster song, kid-like in a Spin Doctors/They Might be Giants kinda way
Lisa wants to work with JJ and Bryan, She thinks they have similar sensibilities and visions. “Bad Robot” is the name of their company, Lisa wants to create animation/stylized worlds with Bad Robot. There should also be some Japanese sensibility added either the language or musically with Japanese-like sounds. Robot sounds could be cool too, like R2D2 or the Lost in Space robot?? It would be cool if there was a repeat that was catchy, “Lisa wants to be a Bad Robot?”
I looked up some robot language:
Let me know what you think.
Lisa wants to a bad robot
with nanotube-enhanced ultracapacitors, silicon circuitry and electromagnetic cogs
Lisa wants to be a bad robot
and make positive charged bots
and servos with titanium gears

THIS GIRL
If you could help me out with something that would be great. I really like this girl, but I don’t know how to express it. If you could write a song about her with her beautiful light blue eyes, long brown hair, and great athletic body, that would be awesome.

GUITAR
This is a Paid Song! Learn more…
This is seriously about getting hired. I’d like to think of it as classy but with character. If it was a super-hero, it would be a mix between the good-ness of Superman, and the darkness of Batman. It should peak people’s interest. Very important: people between 25 to 55 should like it. It’s not like a videogame war song. It’s more like a sitting next to a stream and enjoying the moment type thing.
I want people to say: “Whoa! (or Hmmm) interesting!.” It should reach the hiring manager emotionally and intellectually.
I’m leaning towards no lyrics. But if you can think of something interesting enough, I’d have no complaints.
2 minutes, and possibly something that loops easily.
Style: Actually, the guitar music in Kill Bill 2, with a Mexican flair, is pretty exciting. But I was hoping it could be slightly more laid back. It should be Intricate. Confident. Clever if not Complex. Like Classical Music. Can you somehow mix the excitement of the Mexican Music with the intricacies of Classical?
Well, we can have it darker. I think the main thing is that it’s interesting enough for people to take notice.
