NEW CHAPTER
It’s been a gradual transition that wasn’t always even apparent to me, but I can definitively say now that my work will be focused more on my YouTube channel than this website. (Though a redesign is on its way that will integrate the two a bit more anyway.)
Of course, all the songs here will stay up for your enjoyment – some might even be made into videos in the near future. :) I will also continue to do commissions.
Thank you all for your support and encouragement over the years. Things are getting bigger and better and I hope you’ll stay on this magic carpet ride with me forever!

MIMOSA CHRISTMAS
This is a Paid Song! Learn more…
An upbeat do-wop song, for my mom (Patricia Molina) who’s house in Acapulco is called Mimosa. I want you to make a Mimosa Do-Wop song for Christmas. She always has guests stay at the house, there’s a big Mexican christmas tree, a pool and every year there’s fireworks. My mom loves that old school do-wop style – like what you use in (Wop Wop Wop, Mo mo mo mo), please mention my Grandma “Abi” (pronounced like Abby), my sister’s name is Maia (like Maya) and me (that’s my family). It’s a tropical christmas song. Play around in it. I’m sure you’ll do something awesome.

FISHCAT CATFISH
This is a Paid Song! Learn more…
here is the animation short with the spot music I have slipped in: http://catfish.cliochiang.com.
I’d just like the last song to be replaced.
Yeah, something really close to that song would be nice – upbeat, kind of campy – I’d like it to sound full like the song though if possible and not just one or two instruments. Lyrics can be very bare or just repeating, something stupid about fish or catfish combined, uh…. maybe like, “My fishcat went and ran away ’cause he ate my catfish the other day.”
Oh by the way, that doo-wop song is great!!! Anything along those lines would work great too.
the end, if I could have another repeat or variation on the verse, maybe just singing “Fishcat do-waaaah, how could you do-waaah” to the same beat, then go into a drum fill into a percussive ending. And if you want to shout something, make it “fish” because it’s such a dumb word.

WOP WOP WOP MO MO MO MO
This is a Paid Song! Learn more…
I would like a birthday song for Chris Varelas of San Antonio, Texas. It would be an uptempo doo-wop song. Chris is a serious vocal group harmony (doo-wop) collector. He used to be a professional DJ on an oldies station in San Antonio.
he will be around 41 or 42, which is young for a serious doo-wop collector–most of us are 55 to 65 years old. He is married to a lawyer, Sharee, who also loves doo-wop. Twice a year, they set up a table at the Austin Record Convention and sell 45′s and CD’s.
Chris is a true audio-file, and his so-called “cheap” stereo system in his record-filing room costs about 10 times what my best system cost. He is very good with computers and audio equipment, and works for a company that serves radio stations. He gets sent out to figure out their equipment problems. He used to do guest spots with an old friend DJ at his old station, and he used his old “air name” of Chris Kelly.

SHOOBY DOO WOP MUH MUH NE MY MY MY
This is a Paid Song! Learn more…
Can you write a doowop song for my mom and my aunt for a Christmas present? They’re both crazy doowop record collectors. My aunt Elaine Wade lives in Wausau, Wisconsin. My mom Karen Efron lives in Vancouver, BC. They go regularly to Philadelphia to be guest collectors on doowop record shows. Sometimes they’ll do specials on the radio shows: Indiana artists special, Michigan artists special. The shows are filled with hellos to all the other collectors. “I’d like to say hello to Joanne in New York….”
