I try to keep the free songs entertaining for everyone who visits the site - so if you're looking for a personalized theme song, anniversary song, birthday song, film score, etc. it will have to be by commission. I'd love to be able to make every song that's suggested, but with fifty people a day asking me to compose something for them, there simply isn't time.
Your best chance of getting your song made for free is if I think your idea is unbelievably, amazingly rad (for instance, Robot Pirates) OR if I can find a way to completely poke fun at you while still making the song as you've instructed (see This Girl, Beware The Sea Anenemone, I Empty My Baby, and many more).
Fun fact! For the first three years of Songs To Wear Pants To, I gave myself the additional challenge of making free songs a maximum of one minute and eleven seconds long.

It tends to surprise people, but making music is my full-time job.
I've yet to be met with a song idea or a style of music that I can't make happen. As long as we can agree on a price, I can typically make whatever music you're dreaming of a reality in 2 weeks or less.
